Have you ever had a nail pop from your ceiling? You know the spot in your ceiling where the paint is gone and the nail is glaring at you? Nails are not as secure as screws. Over time the nail can back out and you end up with little spots on your ceiling where the nail comes back through the plaster. Many subcontractors will use nails instead of screws. Why? Because it is faster to nail in drywall or sub flooring.
